I’m seven years old and I travel around the country looking after animals with my Mum. I love singing and I’m learning to play the flute.
My favourite things are my cats Merlin and Pebbles. I often read the map for Mum when we’re driving to our new adventure.”
“Hello, I’m Maisie’s Mum.
I grew up on a farm and learnt the art of Bushcraft when I was younger. I love travelling around the country visiting different places in our camper van, Cherry.
I knit jumpers for Maisie, spinning the wool from the sheep we meet on our adventures.”
Cherry is a red camper van. Maisie calls the van Cherry because its white curtains have cherries on. Cherry runs on LPG gas which causes no pollution. There is a solar panel on the side which Maisie’s Mum uses to run the lights and a radio. Maisie sleeps on a bed in the pop-up roof and her Mum sleeps on the fold down sofa. There is a wood burning stove to keep warm and cook on, a sink and some bookshelves. Merlin and Pebbles sit in a travel basket in the rear window.

Merlin is a big black male cat with green eyes which Maisie adopted from a rescue centre with his sister Pebbles. He is a friendly, cheeky cat and loves going on adventures with Maisie and her Mum. If you look carefully, you can often see Merlin and Pebbles hiding in Maisie’s book. At the end of the day he curls up on Maisie’s bed to go to sleep.
Pebbles is a little tortoiseshell female cat, which Maisie adopted from a rescue centre with her brother Merlin. She has gold eyes with a white chest and paws. She is very friendly but can be a bit shy. When night time comes she curls up next to Merlin on Maisie’s bed.
